Easter Egg Hunt on the grounds

The annual Easter Egg hunt will take place on Easter morning, April 21st right after the 10:30 service.  We are accepting donations of plastic eggs filled with candy or other goodies for fun.  Please feel free to bring filled plastic eggs to the church office before Saturday, April 20th.

Proper Liturgy for Good Friday

A service of solemn observance and reverence as we descend into silence and reflection on the cross and the death of Jesus Christ.  The service concludes with the extinguishing of the sanctuary light.

Proper Liturgies for Maundy Thursday

A service of re-enactment and remembering with rites of Foot-Washing, Holy Communion, and Stripping of the Altar as we rehearse our Lord’s modeling servanthood, his last supper and teaching with his disciples, and his obedience to his imminent death on the cross.

Annual Parish Meeting and Vestry Election

Following the 10:30am service Sunday January 16th we’ll gather for lunch in the parish hall to review 2021, look ahead to 2022, elect 2 vestry members to serve through to 2025 and share in that larger conversation of how we can best serve God’s beloved in Madison and Morgan County in the coming year. Bring a lunch item to share!  The vestry will provide fried chicken and beverages.

Twelfth Night Concert

Kevin Kelly and the Athens Chamber Singers will perform in reflection on the Twelve Nights of Christmas. There will be a light reception immediately following at the Parish House. Come and join the festivities as we close our celebration of  the birth of Jesus and focus on the days after the Epiphany.

Epiphany Bonfire!

Wes Holt will be hosting the Epiphany Christmas Tree Bonfire at the Sunflower Farm (1480 Durden Road, Rutledge) on January 6th at 5:00 p.m.  Join the parish family as we enjoy food and drink together at the Farm.  It’s a tradition to collect all the parishioners’ Christmas trees after Epiphany and burn them in one BIG, GLORIOUS bonfire! Volunteers are needed to make chili (meat, chicken and vegetarian) and desserts to share.  Please let Allison know if you can help. …
