Jesus is his own typological pointing. He dies a little that day near the mediterranean so that the dogs get to eat the crumbs. He’ll do more later.
“You cannot serve God and wealth.” Luke 16:13
Salvation is a gift, not something earned.
“This fellow welcomes sinners and eats with them.” Luke 15:2
We cannot earn salvation. We are “saved” by God’s mercy.
“And you will be blessed, because they cannot repay you.” Luke 14:14
Fear makes us think there’s not enough to go around so we fight for the best seat.

Jesus said, “I came to bring fire to the earth, and how I wish it were already kindled! Luke 12:49
Jesus was being obedient for everybody. He wasn’t just being a good boy for his mama.
“If the owner of the house had known at what hour the thief was coming, he would not have let his house be broken into.” Luke 12:39
You can’t talk behind God’s back.
“Tonight your life is required of you.” Luke 12:20
We are not going to answer God’s calling, alone.
“yet because of your shameless audacity he will surely get up and give you as much as you need.” Luke 11:8b
Our prayers are so that we can be good hosts and help God feed the world. Because the world is just as hungry as we are.
She had a sister named Mary, who sat at the Lord’s feet and listened to what he was saying. Luke 10:39
Raise your hand if you got caught up in house cleaning when you really had something else your were supposed to be doing.
