Justice and Mercy
“You cannot serve God and wealth.” Luke 16:13
Salvation is a gift, not something earned.
“And you will be blessed, because they cannot repay you.” Luke 14:14
Fear makes us think there’s not enough to go around so we fight for the best seat.
“Before I formed you in the womb I knew you.” Jeremiah 4:1
Who me? I’m not a prophet.
“yet because of your shameless audacity he will surely get up and give you as much as you need.” Luke 11:8b
Our prayers are so that we can be good hosts and help God feed the world. Because the world is just as hungry as we are.
“Which of these three, do you think, was a neighbor to the man who fell into the hands of the robbers?” Luke 10:36
It’s not a point of privilege but an act of mercy that will determine our neighbor for us.
“Jesus said, ‘Leave her alone. She bought it so that she might keep it for the day of my burial.'” John 12:7
Will we, like Paul press on toward the goal?
