2024 Pup Packs Report

Pup Packs served approximately 135 children per week during the Spring 2024 semester. Packs were provided to students in Pre-K through 5th grades, at the Morgan County Primary and Elementary Schools.  From outside of the church, Pup Packs received financial contributions from several individuals, Kiwanis, and the Harris Family Foundation. In kind support was provided by St. James Catholic Women’s Group (provided bags one Friday per month), Rutledge United Methodist Church (provided one week of bags per semester), Sandy Creek Baptist Church (provided one week of bags), First United Methodist Church preschool (provided one week of bags and donated food), Brownwood Baptist Church (provided one week of bags), Madison Presbyterian Church (provided two weeks of bags), and Morgan County Primary School PTO (provided one week of bags per semester). 22 volunteers served as shoppers, packers, or both.

During the Fall semester, Pup Packs provided unpacked food to the Elementary School to be distributed by the school counselors as needed to food insecure children.
